"You Don't Need A Huge Budget To Hold Web Conferences Like The Big Companies"
Time:
From: Ken Chandler
The Internet is an ever more integral part of our
lives around the world. This changes everything
from how we do business, what we use to do business and how we
communicate.
Traffic problems, time limitations and the ever
escalating gas prices are forcing more and more people
to rely on the Internet to learn, shop and work. As business people, we
try to keep travel expenses down yet effectively conduct
seminars, train our staff, contractors, affiliates. We're also
constantly striving for a more personal yet private method to talk to
our customers and support them online.
To solve this problem, many have relied on
telephone conferencing. It has been quite effective for a while now but
consider this. Did you know that 90% of
people on the call are not paying attention to you? This isn't
something I plucked out of the air just to try to make you
believe me. It's a real statistic and it hasn't changed over
time. So... aren't you throwing away 90% of your budget each
time you hold a teleconference? Even if you're having great success
with it, if you could get more people to pay attention don't you think
you could sell more?
If you answered yes then you need to be web
conferencing immediately. Web
conferencing is a win-win technology. Customers and students win
because it allows them to learn from the comfort of their own home. You
win because it gives you the ability to demand attention
through audio and visual presentations. You get to
show other people exactly what you're
talking about live using the whiteboard and let
others see the websites you're browsing. This coupled with audio has
been proven over and over to increase comprehension and retention rate.
It's live, it's real and as good as being there in person.
What's that you say? Your audience is
auditory or something else?
Although it's true, people learn in different ways
but humans are predominantly visual. This is why television is such a
successful technology - because it has audio and visual. For most of
us, we can remember TV commercials better than anything else we've
seen, read or heard. Come now, be honest. But, effective
presentations is just a small part.

Are you a staunch teleconference believer? I
thought they were the best thing since sliced bread too - I still do
in many ways but I also quickly
realized teleconferences alienate a huge group of
people. The international market. Unless you're a bonafide
guru -- I'm not saying you aren't, but the truth of the
matter is, it's going to be very difficult to get people to call in to
your conference at odd hours of the day or night. On top of
that, for some of these people, the cost is extremely high and
they pay by the minute. They could be your best customer
or best affiliate but they cannot take advantage of
all you have to offer them and a recorded call is not
the same thing.
They may have questions that need answered
but time limitations mean many questions never get
answered. So... are you sub-conciously
telling these people they are plain out of luck not, because they
aren't diligent but because they are in a different part of the world?
The money today may be in North America but as a smart business person,
I'm sure you know business is growing more and more global. You just
cannot sweep the International market under the carpet anymore.
Furthermore, why would you? There's money to be made out there too.
Lot's of it, many of them are just starting. It's like getting in
before the dot com boom.
What does all that have to do with web
conferencing? Simple. There's no long distance
involved. Let me give you a cold hard example. Have heard of Skype? If
you have, you know how big it has grown; If you haven't, Skype is a
public internet telephone system. People all over the world use it to
call each other on the computer. It has grown so rapidly all over the
world it'll make your head spin. Clearly, people accross the
globe want to reach and be reached no matter what their location. Oh
and before you think you'd rather use Skype - you can only have up to 3
people in a conference call and a free network is bound to have far
more connection problems.

If
you want to shop around for another web conferencing solution, you're
welcome to but you need to read about this little dirty secret I found
out when I was doing my shopping
First, you'll find hundreds of offers for
unlimited participants and events per month for under $50. Be very
careful because this could be a half truth. If you read
the fine print you may see that you're actually limited
to 3 or 5 participants per session but because you're allowed unlimited
sessions a month, you can communicate with 3 or 5 different
participants for every session hence unlimited participants.
Are you feeling let down now? Here's this great
technology you could really use but the cost is prohibitive. Who really
wants to only communicate with 3-5 people? Not the marketers and
business people I know. We usually have quite an audience and
we want to have as many attendees as possible each time we hold an
event.

Here's A Snapshot Of The Room & Its Features

How Do I Know This?
My name is Lynette
Chandler. Most people know me as the Marketing Technology
Advisor, a passionate marketer with a keen interest and knack
for applying technology to my business's marketing strategies. Over the
past few years, I've been helping small businesses identify
and implement the right kind of technologies that help improve their
business.
I know this because it
is my job to know. I scope out different
technologies, and research it's practicality. If it's not user
friendly, won't increase conversion, help build customer
relationship or make my customers more money one way or another, the
product won't get recommended. This is the same principle I
apply when researching web conferencing and in creating
Meeting On Now.
Deliberately Made To Be Easy To Use
If
you can start a program on your computer you'll be a pro with this
Web conferencing solutions of the past are
cumbersome awfully expensive, difficult to understand and use and just
a plain pain in the you know where. You'd have to have plugins you
never heard of before, people cannot see the white board and so on and
forth. What I'm offering you is as simple as it gets. If someone can
download, install a program and login to a web page they can use it. No
additional plugins, no special hardware required.
No Embarassing Incidents
With Meeting On Now's service, there'll be
no annoying background noises as you would have on a teleconference.
Some of us have heard the weirdest most embarassing things on
conference calls!
There's also no problem of giving out the
wrong numbers or PIN codes. Once your users download and install the
room they'll always be able to find you because you're a little icon
sitting on their desktop. It's easy, all they need to do is launch the
room and sign in, just like a using their web browser.
How much would a system like that cost you?
Up until very recently, a lot of money. Even today some people pay as
much as 30¢ per minute per participants. Do the math and you
know that's hundreds of dollars per session. But what if it costs less
than your phone bill? Would you jump at the opportunity?
Here's What You'll Get
Look everywhere on the Internet and it will
probably cost you hundreds of dollars a month. Hold a
conference with your business partners, customers and affiliates. For
one low price of $29.99 per month,
you get the fully functional room and full no holds barred
access. There are no setup fees, no long term contracts.

Best of
Success,

P.S: You may
have found some places charge you a non-refundable setup fee. Even
though there is a cost for me to setup a room, I don't make you pay for
it. That's because I'm confident you'll like and find value with the
room and am investing in you.
P.P.S: I know,
you want to sleep on it first right? I can't argue with you there but
let me share with you some real experiences. I've thought the very same
thing about certain products I wanted. I slept on it - sometimes I
slept on it over a few months. When I was ready to order the prices
were increased and in one case doubled. This already happened
to me three times and I kick
myself for doing that. Don't let that happen to you.

¹Please note, the more people you have in the room, the more likely you'll suffer a lag in audio and web-browsing performance. We have experienced meetings with over 200 people in the room without problems however, your results may vary.
² & ³Video conferencing and desktop sharing is limited to 10 people. If there are more than 10 people in the room, these features will automatically turn off. Your conference will still be able to continue with the other features.
